Japan.. you’re doing it wrong!

Japan Coast Guard investigates attack on Japanese whaling ship.

I have no knowledge of maritime law aside from what I have been told. But if I was the captain the of the japanese whaling boat, I would equipment a few of my crewmen with rifles and tell them to open fire next time they see those pricks. Graze those pricks with some 5.56mm rounds.. see if they continue their bullsh1t.

hmmm REallY? 0r34LLLYz?

Terrorists Evolve. Threats Evolve. Security Must Stay Ahead. You Play A Part.. now move a long before we throw you in jail and put you on the no fly-list…

This is getting a lot of attention, and I have to say it is quite amusing. Trying to humanize a group that does just the opposite to the people they are supposedly “protecting.”

TSA blorg @ hxxp://tsa.gov/blog/
*EDIT: apparently google shows all links, so I had a nice surge in traffic
all referred from the direct href.. I don’t particularly want my site linked directly off the tsa site, thanks google.
*and doesn’t that splash screen look familiar? evolx?

Reading through the comments left by people, it seems that they are actually putting peoples complaints out for everyone. ( At least the civil comments from those that aren’t being complete asses and trolling..) Of course there are the few “We love you thanks…” and “I have worked for TSA for..” This is nothing more then a PR smokescreen to make it look like there is a small amount of intelligence in an agency that gets way too much money and hires individuals with sub-human intelligence and authority complexes.

Digging a little deeper, Meet our bloggers.. Good ole Bob, Ethel, Jay, Chance, Jim are on the job.. let us not forget good ole Kip. If that doesn’t sound like the all american corn-fed, white super team that is out to protect you from them nasty towel wearing ‘terrists, I don’t know what does.

Seriously.. are these people real? I would like to think an MIT graduate that studied EE, Bio and CS would be working elsewhere.. If these people are in fact working for TSA, they are upper level management that has probably never had to endure going through a security checkpoint at a major airport.

Here is an idea.. I would like to see the people actually doing the grunt work writing these blogs. OH WAIT. You have to have an IQ more then that of a rock to turn a computer on. These are the same slags that are keeping Microsoft a float.

Don’t get me wrong. I am a white, middle american kid and I have rarely been harrased or pulled aside for more then a “secondary” screening on my international flights.. But flying out of DET, LAX, ORD.. that blog roll would more closely resemble Enrique, Latifah, Pablo, Cedric and Jon.

Anyways, it will be really fun to watch. I look forward to Ethel and Jay’s blogs!

:(

* Side note, I actually had a really pleasant interaction with a Latifah in LAX not to long ago. Her pleasant voice and attitude was actually quite refreshing for the hell that is LAX, especially considering the dickhead in front me wanted to argue and complain about everything.

Another reasons china is such a great country…

China Enacting a High-Tech Plan to Track People

You can read the article.. basically the government is going to a full mesh surveilance network where all citizens must carry RFID id cards that contain not only their names, SS#s, sex etc but also religious and ethnic background, criminal record, work and health histories and more. All in the name of public safety.

In addition, all citizen must proudly display a velvet painting of Chairman Mao in their homes at all times..

Give america 10 years and this is where we will be. Thanks Bush.

outdated ritual?

Outdated?

I have always felt that the giving a ring to just one side was a bit odd. It always seemed to me that it was a one-way commitment, which made it loose its meaning. If there is going to be a materialistic exchange, it should be a mutual exchange, not just unidirectional. Like the article mentions, this is no longer the 20’s and we’re no longer buying the virginity of our partner.

Of course, one can also argue that, in addition to exchanging rings, marriage is also outdated in its current form. Maybe this is true. Perhaps Einstein was correct with his postulates relating to love and marriage.

Seoul….

A bit more..

Seoul is an interesting place. It has all the amenities of a big city and a lot of the magic of the far east. The people on a whole were friendly, very friendly in fact. Communication was a bit of an issue, not a lot of people outside of the tourist district speak english. So when we weren’t able to communicate verbal everything broke down to a series of grunts and hand gestures. Due to the close proximity of Japan, a lot of koreans can speak japanese. So most of the communcation we did was in japanese, kind of funny.

WTF?

Pinchyo’sack records.

Seriously, I don’t know what to say. Grillz are the most hideous things, especially on white kids.

WB-, since you live closest to these guys, it is your civic duty to pay them a visit and bitch slap them.

Rain… rain and more rain

Well, it’s rainy season here for sure now. Rain all day long that smoothly transistions from a light pleasant sprinkle to a heavy downpoor. Maybe two more weeks of this. w00t. At least with the rain it isn’t so hot, when the sun comes out it put’s St. Louis’ humidity to shame.

Things have been pretty boring and repititious here. What’s on the news front?

I’ll (hopefully) be back in St. Louis at the end of July for about 3~4 weeks, while my school is on their summer vacation. But this depends on if I can get a seat on the flight. More to come as I know more, but you should ready your livers.

tilt.. WTF

Tilt - caffeinated malt beverage.

New from AB. I guess it was only time before the liquor industry cashed in on the energy drink fad. I cannot wait for the MD20/20 with ginseng and riboflavin! w00t w00t.

The more I think about it, it might be nice to be able to go to a grocery(*coGASSTATIONgh*) store and buy a premixed red bull vodka. Only problem, papschmirnoff will be the only one to do this… uggghh.

On a side note.. forgot to grab the redbull that I purchased. So its sitting at my home.. in stcharles. grrrrrrrr.
