It’s 6:49am in Seoul. I have been here since 5 waiting for my flight back to Japan, only a mere 4 hours. I decided to go the the gate and wait. Being one of the few people here this early, I managed to find a free wifi spot (thanks to the cathay pacific business lounge being right next to my gate!)
Anyways, there is an 8:30 flight to somewhere in China and now a lot of people for that flight are showing up. Now I enjoy a good photograph, but so far, of the 17 people that have managed to show up, all of them are taking pictures. WHAT OF?? Just each other.. the scenery here isn’t good, it’s overcast and foggy, visibility of about 30 meters.. I am confused and dumbfounded at why it’s neccessary or even enjoyable. Maybe it is a group thing, they see others doing it and have to do it also?? Boggles my mind… they aren’t even doing anything fun in the pictures.
Oh well, at least I get some bi bim bap for breakfast!

So I have been back in St. Louis for a while now and at the end of the week I am heading back to the land of the short people. Things I have accomplished:
* Aikido at threerivers
* Yoga
* Shopping { new clothes for me, things for larissa, gifts and requested items }
* Eating { Chui’s, Altarbush, Il Vicino, (Rasberry Heffewiesen) more? }
* Coffee Shops { Kaldi’s, Kayaks, City Coffee (awesome place) }
* Seeing friends with the exception of Fish and Brian { there’s still time!}
* Spending time with my families
TODO
* Try and see Fish and Brian
* More shopping: there are a few things left that I ned to buy including presents (omiyage) for important people back home.
* Relax more
All and all this has been an enjoyable trip so far, still a lot to do and to pack up..

After being back in the ‘lou for almost a week, I can honestly say things really haven’t changed. Sure there are some new stores and restaurants, but the general ’state’ of st. louis hasn’t changed. It’s nice, yet at the same time kind of sad.
There are a few places that are nice and definately worth a visit. In Maplewood, Bugaloo. A ‘cubano’ topas restaurant with really nice ambiance, good food and friendly waitresses.
Another place to mention is city coffee house in Clayton. The coffee is good and they serve an interesting variety of crepes, ranging from desert crepes to organic vegie crepes.
Thanks to Alden, Drew, Leslie and Maria for taking me and helping me remeber that drinking red bull and vodka can keep you going way past 7am.
Two more weeks here.
