Closer to nirvana.
Bangkok is an interesting place. I definately enjoyed the few days we spent there. Things are relatively cheap and there is plenty to do.
We mainly stayed in Old Bangkok. The first few nights we stayed in Khao San and the last night near Siam Square. Khao San is the backpackers and tourist district. Everywhere you looked there are eurotrash kids and other foreigners that are spending their hard earned trust funds on fake name brands goods. Cheap place to stay. Our hotel cost us 8$ a night. Nothing spectacle but it had bed, tv, hot water and A/C.
Siam square is near the financial and embassy district. The newest malls and most expensive shops are all here. Some nice places to get thai massage for really cheap! 1 hour, 180 baut ( 4$USD.)
And the best part.. REAL thai food. OMFG I have not had food this hot EVER. Those of you that know me, know I can handle my hot.. well I crying at most of my thai meals.. that frickn hot. But sooo good.
We visited a few of the major temples, shrines and the palace:
Wat Pho, Wat Saket, Wat Arun, Emperial Palace and a few others that I do not remeber the name of.
For the best Thai Massage around.. please visit:
