w00t. Just finished booking travel arrangements for going to Tokyo next month. Get to spend a week in the worlds most expensive city (9/18 - 9/23.) Now the only thing left is to figure out what to do..
So far the list looks like this:

-Find mega-cosplayers
-Imperial Gardens
-Meji Jingu
-Roppongi
-Ueno Park and Market
That is just a small list, but those are alot of highlights. For the fishafficiaodos, tsukiji fish market one of the largest fresh fish markets in the world. Everybody hauls their fish in in the mornings and sells them their. I have heard that alot of the tuna from here actually ends up in the US. mmm fresh hamachi…

Was anybody in the AV at their high school? After telling some japanese people that american high schools usually have AV clubs, with cameras and recording equipment, and getting some really interesting responses I finally asked what the problem was.
AV is what the japanese refer to the porn industry as, mainly Adult Videos.. AV. So this made me smile. I guess I have some japanese people convinced their are pr0n clubs in american high schools.. fast times at ridgemont yo.
So this leads me to this idea. You see all the pornstar tshirts in america and japan.. why not have a japanese version.. ‘cuz kanji looks cool. 私はAV男性です。
To make it even better, we could mario-fy the tshirt. Have the kanji right justified, top to bottom right to left with mario on the far left… mmm and then to cafepress to print a few…

So the japanese holiday of Obon just ended. This holiday is when the japanese will go back to their parents homes, visit the graves of the ancestors and pay homage. It is also a time of many festivals and festivities.
Saturday was a festival in a town near to me, Mihara. This festival is famous for the mihara dance. Thousands of people come to this sleepy little town to dance (drunk) in the streets. Check out the pictures here.

Updated to the latest of mt.. 3.2b4. This build is really close to the final release and includes new spam blocking features (including trackback.) I have to say I have not really had spam in quite a while, but I have been getting on average of 30 trackbacks a week. Since updating a few days ago, none. Seems pretty solid and feature packed. Time for wb to dump the forumns and switch 
On a side note. I have uploaded a butt load of pictures to my flickr. Including pics of nara, himeji, kyoto (with geisha) and some other stuff. fun fun fun <たのしかった>

New from AB. I guess it was only time before the liquor industry cashed in on the energy drink fad. I cannot wait for the MD20/20 with ginseng and riboflavin! w00t w00t.
The more I think about it, it might be nice to be able to go to a grocery(*coGASSTATIONgh*) store and buy a premixed red bull vodka. Only problem, papschmirnoff will be the only one to do this… uggghh.
On a side note.. forgot to grab the redbull that I purchased. So its sitting at my home.. in stcharles. grrrrrrrr.

yooooshhh…
Back in japan. After roughly 32 hours in transit, we made it back to our apartment in saijo/西条. Let me state a few obvious things..
1) International terminals suck. (LAX and CKS/Taipei)
2) Being taller then 5′10″ and sitting in cattle class, non-exit row seats suck.
3) Asian people should use deoderant.
4) CKS/Taipei airport sucks. Its brand new, and there is nothing there but dutyfree stores and two shitty restaurants.
Anyways.. Again, I would recommend Air China for travel. They are friendly, prices are decent and the planes are modern.
A big thanks to everyone that came out to hang out and drink! Thanks to the doctor for letting us use his house! And thanks for the drinks and food! You guys rock. Hurry up and get your asses over here.
