Camping at Yorosan

As the last entry mentions, I went camping with the aikido club. We went to a local camping hot spot, Yorosan ( yoro mountain.) A 45 minute bus ride followed by a 30 minute car ride, or if you are a student, a 2.5 hour hike (close to 15 miles) up the mountain.

Just a little bit more…

Ok ok ok ok. It is really hot here. Today is topping 95f with near 60% humidity. That just makes it really miserable. Why can’t this country have central ac?

On that note, I am going camping tonight. The aikido students at saino high school left this morning to venture to the top of a local ‘mountain.’ There are campgrounds and I think a lake or river to swim in. Anyways, I will be joining 35 students tonight for an evening of jo and bokken/bokuto training and even more tomorrow before returning in the afternoon. I am looking forward to it.

what are you reading now?

As digital as our(my) lives is, I ask this question.. what are you reading right now? And what was the last thing you read. Let me clarify by saying: newspapers, blogs, websites, pdf’s, ebooks and digital mediums do not count. Magazines and books.. more so books.

Currently I am reading Quicksilver. Good book but damn it is long and difficult to read at times. Typical Stephenson.

The last book I read was Dune. Quite a good read.

firefox + customizegoogle == love

Customizegoogle firefox plugin. Removes ads from gmail and a lot of other functionality.

I have been using some of the greasemonkey scripts to do this, but have found they do not work that well. This one does. So all you firefox+google users should install it.
