To tokyo

Tomorrow I am going to tokyo for the 43rd All Japan Aikido Demonstration. It is going to be at the Budokan. Should be fun.. the budokan is a multimillion dollar facility pretty much dedicated to the martial arts..

After that hopefully shinjuku and akihabara..

blog blog blog now with mySQL and more cowbell

So I really like Movabletype, alot of functionality with plugins and documentation. I really like wordpress with its huge community of themes and plugins. Although plugins are more difficult to find for it, mainly I think because it is free.

Anyways, where I am going with this post is that I really liked the built in blog roll feature (basically a list manager.) Previously I was using PHP to parse and format a text file that contained my links. With a blogroll I can do it through my db and not have to shell in everytime I want to add urls. So I started searching for one for MT.

A while back I went to an aikido ’seminar’ with the dosshu Ueshiba, current head(dosshu) of the aikikai organization. This was in Ehime-ken, which is on the island of chugoku. We went went some friends that had a car, so we decided to make a weekend out of it as Matsuyama city is famous for its Dogu onnsen and foot baths(ashioo.)
